I am writing this letter on behalf of K & B Construction. We hunted for a contractor who could offer us a quality job for fair price and found what we were looking for in K & B Construction. In the fall of 2005 they replaced our cabin's old cedar siding with beautiful half log siding and put on a deck addition.

We found K & B Construction from a phone book search on the Internet as a builder to construct a garage for us at our lake property. We were a bit apprehensive at first since we weren't from the Shell Lake area and not familiar with his work. Our hesitation soon disappeared as Karl took our sketches for a garage and made some suggestions to improve the looks and give it some character.

We wanted to have steel siding and roofing to be as maintenance-free as possible and yet did not want it to "look" like a steel building. Karl worked hard for us using his contacts with the local building material suppliers and found a siding that looks like wood that we shouldn't have to worry about for many years.

Karl did an excellent job of installing it and we are extremely satisfied with its appearance and are anxious to have our home built and sided with the same material. We would recommend Karl to anyone considering building or remodeling for his excellent job and quality work.

Building a cabin on family property near Sarona, Wisconsin came to be a dream come true. Selecting a good general contractor was especially important to us as we would be carrying on the building process for a distance of one hundred miles.

Karl served as general contractor and principle carpenter for the construction of our custom home in 2004-2005. Karl's integrity, honesty, pride in his work and excellent verbal communication skills were used effectively to quickly establish the rapport and trust necessary for us to build in partnership.

An enjoyable working relationship has been critical to this build. Karl met the spirit of our effort to preserve as much of our woods as possible during construction with a respectful attitude toward the area; a neat, well-contained work site; and waste-conscious practices, which in the end, also saved us money.

We regard his framing skills, attention to detail, and constructive suggestions as top of line. We built a home in which everything was custom. His deep knowledge of the industry and willingness to pursue solutions to the end made it work.

We found Karl to be appropriately selective in his choice of a drywaller, wood and ceramic tile fooring craftsman, electrical subcontractors, and framing and finishing partners in putting the final touches on our home.

In our specific case, building only from an estimate, Karl was able to bring our construction to completion at a price within one percent of that pre-construction estimate. We highly recommend K & B Construction!
